Karlie Kloss was found at a local benefit runway show. In 2006, when she was 14, Karlie posed for a editorial and cover shoot with photographer David Leslie Anthony for the June issue of Scene Magazine in Chicago. Elite Model Management Chicago afterwards forwarded these tear sheets to New York office of Elite Model Management, who later signed her.

When Karlie was 17, she was declared as one of the "top 30 models of the 2000s" by Vogue Paris. From 2013- 2015, Karlie was a Victoria's Secret Angel. She resigned from there to complete her studies at New York University. She had appeared on 40 international Vogue covers by 2019.
