Career

Things grew a little better for her while working at a casino after she met Floyd Mayweather Jr., who would usually assist her with her child.

She kept her employment, though, in order to take care of her own needs.

Melissa, who was more of a tomboy before meeting Floyd, became much more interested in fashion during this time since Floyd would frequently lavish her with beautiful gifts.

She returned to her previous employment as a waitress at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas in 1999.

However, she quickly fell pregnant with Floyd's baby daughter and had to abandon her work to care for her.

In 2008, she began appearing on HBO's boxing documentary series '24/7,' which earned her the moniker "Floyd Mayweather's baby mama."

Cheating Accusations

Despite the fact that she had ceased speaking with Floyd due to an incident with his former fiancée Josie Harris, he continued to support his daughter in the years that followed.

Melissa was also involved with another man at the time, but her relationship ended as well. Floyd contacted Melissa after five years and apologized for some of the things he had done.

They rekindled their friendship and began co-parenting their daughter. He then not only purchased Melissa a house but also gave her one of his own automobiles.

Eventually, in the year 2009, he also asked her what she wanted to do and also help her set up her boutique shop in Las Vegas.

She then combined the names of her two children, Devion and Iyanna, and then named it Devanna Love Boutique.
